Sweat Rounds is an interval timer you can read from across the room, for HIIT, Tabata, EMOM and boxing rounds. Pick a workout, press Start, and the whole screen tells you what to do: crimson for work, calm teal or blue for rest, a huge countdown, and the round you are on.
EMOM 10 min: a new round at the start of every minute
Boxing rounds: 3 minutes on, 1 minute off, 3 rounds
Each one starts with 10 seconds to get ready. Use them as they are, or duplicate one and change it, so one app works as your Tabata timer, HIIT timer and boxing round timer.
Make your own
Set the warm-up, work, rest, rounds, sets, rest between sets and cool-down (0 skips a part)
Add a list of exercises and they take turns, one per work interval, which suits circuit training: the timer shows the name and what comes next
The total time is shown while you edit and on every workout in the list
Edit, duplicate or delete your workouts at any time
During the workout
A full-screen colour for each part, and a countdown as big as the screen allows
Round and set counters, a progress bar, the next part and the time still to go
Pause, skip to the next part, or go back to the start of the current one
Lock the controls so a sweaty hand or a pocket cannot press anything; press and hold the lock to unlock
The screen stays on while the interval timer runs
Works upright and sideways, on phones and tablets
Cues you can hear and feel
A tone when each part starts, three short beeps before work starts and ends, and a chime at the end
Optional voice cues: your phone's own text-to-speech voice says "Work", "Rest", the round and the exercise
A short vibration when the part changes
Sounds lower your music for a moment instead of stopping it
Each cue can be switched off in Settings
The tones were made for this app.
History
See the workouts you have run, whether you finished them or stopped early, and the minutes you trained this week.
Good to know
If you leave the app or turn the screen off, the timer pauses and waits for you, so no time runs past unnoticed. Sweat Rounds is a workout timer: it does not track your body or give health advice.
Everything stays on your phone
No account and no sign-up. Your workouts, history and settings are kept on your phone only. The interval timer works without an internet connection (ads need one).
Sweat Rounds is free and contains ads: a banner on the workout list, the history and the summary screen, and an occasional full-screen ad when you leave the summary of a finished workout. There are never ads on the timer or while you edit a workout.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Tabata timer that works offline with no account?
Sweat Rounds is an interval timer with a ready-made Tabata workout: 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, 8 rounds, after 10 seconds to get ready. It works without internet and needs no account; only the ads need a connection.
What app can I use as a boxing round timer?
Sweat Rounds has a Boxing rounds preset of 3 minutes on and 1 minute off for 3 rounds, and you can change the rounds or lengths. The screen turns a full colour for work and rest, with a tone when each part starts.
Is there an interval timer that says the exercise names out loud?
Sweat Rounds has optional voice cues that use your phone's own text-to-speech voice to say Work, Rest, the round and the exercise. Add a list of exercises to a workout and they take turns, one per work interval.
Is Sweat Rounds free?
Yes, Sweat Rounds is free and contains ads. There are no in-app purchases and no reward videos; every feature is available. Ads never appear on the running timer or while you edit a workout.
Does Sweat Rounds keep running with the screen off?
No. Sweat Rounds keeps the screen on while the timer runs, and if you leave the app or turn the screen off it pauses and waits for you, so no time runs past unnoticed. Press resume to carry on.
How is Sweat Rounds different from other interval timer apps?
Sweat Rounds focuses on being readable mid-workout: a full-screen colour for each part, a very large countdown and a control lock you press and hold to undo. It is a timer only and does not track your body or give health advice.
What data does Sweat Rounds collect?
Sweat Rounds itself collects nothing and has no server. Your workouts, history and settings stay on your phone. It uses no microphone, location or storage permission. Only the Google AdMob SDK uses data such as the advertising ID for ads.
