Tally Board is a game score keeper for card nights, board games and sports. Put the pen and paper away: type in the players, play, and the app adds up the score for you.
Start a game, add the players (up to 12, each with a colour), choose how points are entered and how the game ends, and play. The current leader is highlighted, every change can be undone, and an unfinished game is still there when you come back to it.
Two ways to keep score
- Round by round, like a paper score sheet: after each round, enter everyone's points (minus points too). A table shows every round with the running totals, and any round can be corrected later
- Quick +/−: a big tile for each player with +1, −1, +5 and −5 buttons, a simple scoreboard for table tennis, darts or a quiz. Tap a score to add any other amount
How the game ends
- No goal: play as long as you like, then finish the game
- Target score: the first to reach it wins, with an optional "win by 2 points" rule
- Fixed number of rounds: the best total after the last round wins
- Count down: everyone starts from a number (501, for example) and counts down to zero, with an optional "finish on exactly 0" rule where a turn that goes below zero does not count
- "Lowest score wins" for golf and the many card games where fewer points are better
A score keeper for card games and house rules
Start from a template such as "Race to 100", "Card game, lowest wins", "Darts-style countdown from 501", "Table tennis to 11, win by 2" or "Mini golf, 18 holes", or save your own house rules as a template. One game score keeper covers rummy on Friday, a family board game on Sunday and a points race at a party.
Results and history
- Finished games show the ranking, with ties handled fairly (two players on the same score share the place)
- Copy the results as text and paste them into any chat
- The history keeps every finished game with its date and winner, so it also works as a board game score tracker
- Player stats show how many games each person played and won
Tally counters
A tally counter for laps, stitches, reps, people at the door or anything else. Each counter has its own name, a count per tap and an optional target, or can count down from a number to zero. Open a counter and the whole screen becomes one big button, with a small buzz on every tap.
Easy to use
- Large buttons, light and dark themes, and vibration you can switch off
- Works with screen readers: every score is read out with the player's name and whether they lead
- Works sideways and on tablets
Everything stays on your phone
No account and no sign-up. Tally Board works without an internet connection (ads need one), and your games, player names and counters are kept on your phone only. A game score keeper that works offline at the cabin, on the train or at the table.
Tally Board is free and contains ads: a banner on the menus and results, and an occasional full-screen ad after a finished game. There are never ads on the scoring screen or the counter screen.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a score keeper app for card games that works offline?
Tally Board keeps score for card games, board games and sports with no internet and no account. You enter each round's points in a table with running totals, and it handles games where the lowest score wins. Only the ads need a connection.
What app can count down from 501 for a darts-style game?
Tally Board has a built-in "Darts-style countdown from 501" template. Everyone starts at 501 and counts down, and an optional "finish on exactly 0" rule ignores a turn that would go below zero.
Is there a simple tally counter app for laps, stitches or reps?
Tally Board includes tally counters next to its score keeper. Each counter has a name, a count per tap and an optional target, or it can count down to zero, and opening one turns the whole screen into one big tap button.
Is Tally Board free?
Yes, Tally Board is free and contains ads. There are no in-app purchases and no reward videos; you see a banner on menus and results and an occasional full-screen ad after a finished game, never on the scoring screen.
How many players can Tally Board handle?
Tally Board supports up to 12 players in one game, each with their own colour. The current leader is highlighted, every change can be undone, and an unfinished game is still there when you reopen the app.
How is Tally Board different from other score keeper apps?
Tally Board offers two scoring styles (a round table or quick +/- tiles), four ways a game can end, and tally counters in the same app. It also keeps a history with wins per player and works fully offline with no account.
What data does Tally Board collect?
Tally Board itself collects nothing: games, player names and counters stay on your phone and there is no server. The Google AdMob SDK that shows the ads collects device identifiers and similar data, as described in the privacy policy.
