A themed word search where every grid hides a set of words that belong together. Find them all, one swipe at a time.
Word Glow Search builds a fresh letter grid on your phone each time you play. Pick a theme such as birds, space, the kitchen or capital cities, choose a grid size, and slide your finger across the letters to circle each word you spot. Found words get their own coloured band and are crossed off the list.
Four grid sizes
- Easy, 8 x 8: words read left to right or top to bottom
- Medium, 10 x 10: words can also run diagonally downwards
- Hard, 12 x 12: words run in all eight directions, backwards too
- Expert, 14 x 14: all directions and the most words

Animals, fruit, vegetables, weather, sports, musical instruments, jobs, the body, clothes, colours, trees, birds, insects, tools, transport, camping, the garden, feelings, shapes, the beach, winter, science, computers, mountains, music, travel, desserts and more, with 25 to 37 words each. A grid uses a different mix of a theme's words every time, so a themed word search never repeats itself exactly. Can't decide? "Surprise me" picks a theme for you.
A daily word search
The daily puzzle is a Medium grid with its own theme, the same for every player on that date. Solve it on days in a row to build a streak.

- Switch off the word list for a harder word find: spot the hidden words from the theme alone
- Choose the highlight colours, including a set made for colour-blind players
- Light and dark themes; vibration can be turned off
Hints when you are stuck
A hint makes the first letter of a hidden word flash. Every puzzle has one free hint. After that you can watch an optional short video for another one.
Your progress
The clock stops when you leave the app, and an unfinished puzzle is saved so you can pick it up later. Statistics show every themed word search you solved for each size, your best and average times, words found and your daily streak.

Word Glow Search has no account and no sign-up. The word search puzzles are made on your phone and work offline, without an internet connection (ads need one). Your statistics and settings stay on your phone.
