LevelPal: Privacy Policy

LevelPal ("the app") is published by GlowVibe ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses and why. Questions: support@glowvibe.in.

What we collect

We do not run a server for this app and we do not collect your personal information. There is no account or sign-up. The measuring tools work on your device and do not send your readings to us.

Permissions and sensors

• Microphone (only for the sound meter): the app asks for it when you tap Start in the sound meter, never before. While the sound meter listens, the app turns the microphone signal into a loudness level on your device, in memory, and discards the audio at once. Nothing is recorded to a file, kept or sent, to us or to anyone else. Listening stops when you tap Stop, leave the sound meter or switch to another app. If you say no, every other tool still works, and you can change your choice in your phone's settings at any time.
• Motion and magnetic sensors: the level, the compass and the protractor read your phone's accelerometer and magnetometer while they are open. These readings are used on the device only and need no permission. The compass shows magnetic north and does not use your location.
• Screen information: the ruler reads your screen's pixel density from Android so that it can draw real millimetres and inches.
• Internet: used only to load ads and, when you ask for it, to open a web page such as this policy.
• Advertising ID: the ads provider (see "Ads" below) uses it to show and measure ads.
• Vibration: the level can give a gentle tap when it reads level, using your phone's built-in haptic feedback. This needs no permission and you can switch it off in Settings.
• The app does not ask for permission to use your camera, photos, files, contacts or location.

What stays on your device

The app saves these items in its own private storage on your device only:

• your calibrations: the level's zero, the ruler's card calibration and the sound meter's adjustment;
• your settings (metric or imperial units, vibration, light or dark theme);
• a counter that decides when the app may ask you to rate it.

We never receive this information. Readings themselves (angles, lengths, headings, sound levels) are not saved. You can reset the calibrations in Settings. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes everything.

Android backup: if you have turned on your phone's backup to your Google account, Android may include this app's data on your phone in that backup, encrypted and under your own account. We have no access to it. You can manage this in your phone's settings.

Ads

The app is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner on the tool list, and an occasional full-screen ad when you open another tool after using one. The measuring tools themselves never show ads. To show and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may use your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information (such as device model, operating system version and app version) and information about how you interact with ads. Ads may be personalised, depending on your choices.

• Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some other regions) the app shows Google's consent form before ads are requested. You can review or change your choice at any time under Settings > Ad privacy options when that option is shown.
• You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

Other services

If you tap "Rate this app", the app opens Google Play or shows Google Play's in-app review sheet; Google handles that interaction under its own privacy policy. If you tap "Contact support" or "Privacy policy", the app opens your e-mail app or your browser. If you tap "Open settings" in the sound meter, the app opens its page in your phone's system settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you are in a region with data-protection rights and believe we hold information about you, write to support@glowvibe.in. For data held by Google (such as ad-related data), use Google's own tools and controls.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, if the change is significant, tell you in the app or on the store page.
