Hush Sounds: Privacy Policy

Hush Sounds ("the app") is published by GlowVibe ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses and why. Questions: support@glowvibe.in.

What we collect

We do not run a server for this app and we do not collect your personal information. There is no account or sign-up. The sounds are files inside the app; playing them sends nothing to us. The app only plays sound: it never uses the microphone and never records anything.

Permissions

• Internet: used only to load ads and, when you ask for it, to open a web page such as this policy. The sounds play without a connection.
• Background playback (foreground service for media playback, and keeping the processor awake while sound plays): lets the sounds you started keep playing, and the sleep timer keep counting, with the screen off. Android shows a notification with play, pause and stop while this runs. It ends when you stop the sounds, when the sleep timer runs out, or 15 minutes after a pause.
• Notifications (Android 13 and later): lets the playback controls appear in the notification shade and on the lock screen. The app asks only if you tap "Allow" on the player, and the sounds play whether or not you allow it.
• Audio focus and call state: the app listens for Android's signals that another app, an alarm or a call needs the speaker, so it can pause or lower the sounds. It does not read who is calling or any call details, and needs no phone permission for this.
• Advertising ID: the ads provider (see "Ads" below) uses it to show and measure ads.
• The app does not ask for permission to use your microphone, camera, photos, files, contacts, phone or location.

What stays on your device

The app saves these items in its own private storage on your device only:

• the mixes you save (their names, sounds and volumes) and the last mix you played;
• your settings (master volume, default sleep timer, fade-out length, gentle start, playing along with other apps, light or dark theme) and whether you answered the notification question;
• which bonus sounds you unlocked by watching a video, and until when;
• a counter that decides when the app may ask you to rate it.

We never receive this information. You can delete saved mixes in the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes everything.

Android backup: if you have turned on your phone's backup to your Google account, Android may include this app's data on your phone in that backup, encrypted and under your own account. We have no access to it. You can manage this in your phone's settings.

Ads

The app is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner on the home screen, an occasional full-screen ad after you tap Stop in the player and return to the home screen, and optional videos that you can choose to watch to unlock a bonus sound for 24 hours. Ads are never shown while sound is playing, on the player, or when the sleep timer ends. To show and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may use your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information (such as device model, operating system version and app version) and information about how you interact with ads. Ads may be personalised, depending on your choices.

• Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some other regions) the app shows Google's consent form before ads are requested. You can review or change your choice at any time under Settings > Ad privacy options when that option is shown.
• You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

Other services

If you tap "Rate this app", the app opens Google Play or shows Google Play's in-app review sheet; Google handles that interaction under its own privacy policy. If you tap "Contact support" or "Privacy policy", the app opens your e-mail app or your browser.

Not medical advice

The app plays background sounds. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or monitor any condition.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you are in a region with data-protection rights and believe we hold information about you, write to support@glowvibe.in. For data held by Google (such as ad-related data), use Google's own tools and controls.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, if the change is significant, tell you in the app or on the store page.
