Days Until: Privacy Policy

Days Until ("the app") is published by GlowVibe ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses and why. Questions: support@glowvibe.in.

What we collect

We do not run a server for this app and we do not collect your personal information. There is no account or sign-up. The events you add (which may include names and birth dates of people you know) and the dates you type into the calculator stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Permissions

• Notifications: used only for the event reminders you switch on. On Android 13 and later the app asks for this permission the first time you switch on a reminder, never at start-up. If you say no, the app keeps working without reminders, and you can change your mind in your phone's settings.
• Run at start-up: lets the app put your scheduled reminders back after your phone restarts. It does not start anything else.
• Internet: used only to load ads and, when you ask for it, to open a web page such as this policy.
• Advertising ID: the ads provider (see "Ads" below) uses it to show and measure ads.
• The app does not ask for permission to use your camera, microphone, photos, files, contacts, calendar or location, and it does not use exact alarms. It does not read the calendar app on your phone.

What stays on your device

The app saves these items in its own private storage on your device only:

• your events: title, date, optional time of day, kind (countdown, birthday, anniversary or "days since"), icon, colour, notes, which reminders are on and at what time, the day the event was added, and whether it is archived;
• your settings (light or dark theme, default reminder time, first day of the week, date format, vibration) and a counter that decides when the app may ask you to rate it.

We never receive this information. Reminders are scheduled by your phone's own notification system; their text (the event's title and a line such as "Tomorrow") is not sent anywhere. The date calculator keeps nothing. You can delete any event in the app, or everything at once under Settings > Delete all events; uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes everything.

Android backup: if you have turned on your phone's backup to your Google account, Android may include this app's data on your phone in that backup, encrypted and under your own account. We have no access to it. You can manage this in your phone's settings.

Sharing

If you tap "Share" on an event, the app hands one line of text (the event's title, how far away it is and its date) to the app you choose in your phone's share sheet. What happens to it then is governed by that app's privacy policy. Days Until itself sends nothing.

Ads

The app is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner on the events list, the event screen and the date calculator, and an occasional full-screen ad when you open the calculator after saving an event, open an event after a calculation, or come back from sharing. Ads are never shown while you add or edit an event. To show and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may use your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information (such as device model, operating system version and app version) and information about how you interact with ads. Ads may be personalised, depending on your choices. Your events and notes are not shared with the ads provider.

• Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some other regions) the app shows Google's consent form before ads are requested. You can review or change your choice at any time under Settings > Ad privacy options when that option is shown.
• You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

Other services

If you tap "Rate this app", the app opens Google Play or shows Google Play's in-app review sheet; Google handles that interaction under its own privacy policy. If you tap "Contact support" or "Privacy policy", the app opens your e-mail app or your browser. If you tap "Notifications" in Settings, the app opens your phone's notification settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you are in a region with data-protection rights and believe we hold information about you, write to support@glowvibe.in. For data held by Google (such as ad-related data), use Google's own tools and controls.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, if the change is significant, tell you in the app or on the store page.
