Board Classics: Privacy Policy

Board Classics ("the app") is published by GlowVibe ("we", "us"). This policy describes the information the app uses and the reasons for it. Questions: support@glowvibe.in.

What we collect

We collect no personal information, and the app has no server of ours behind it. You do not need an account. The computer opponent runs entirely on your phone, and games against a friend are played on the same phone, so no moves, names or results are sent to us or to anyone else.

Permissions

• Internet: needed to load ads and, when you tap a link, to open a web page such as this policy. The games themselves work without a connection.
• Advertising ID: used by the ads provider (see "Ads" below) to show and measure ads.
• Vibration: the app can give a short buzz when a move is made and when a game ends, through your phone's built-in haptic feedback. No permission is needed, and you can turn it off in Settings. The app plays no sounds.
• The app never asks for access to your camera, microphone, photos, files, contacts or location.

What stays on your device

The app keeps the following in its own private storage on your phone:

• one unfinished game of each kind (Reversi, Four in a Row and Checkers): the moves played so far, the choices you made for it and the free take-backs and hints left;
• your statistics: wins, losses, draws and win streaks for each game and strength, and the results of games played with a friend;
• the last choices you made in the New game sheet;
• your settings (show possible moves, confirm Checkers moves, vibration, light or dark theme);
• a counter that decides when the app may ask you to rate it.

None of this reaches us. You can reset your statistics in Settings. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes all of it.

Android backup: if you have turned on your phone's backup to your Google account, Android may include this app's data on your phone in that backup, encrypted and under your own account. We have no access to it. You can manage this in your phone's settings.

Ads

The app is free and carries ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the home screen, the statistics screen and the result screen after a game, an occasional full-screen ad when you choose "Play again" or "Home" after a finished game, and optional videos that you can decide to watch for an extra take-back or an extra hint. There are no ads on the board while you play. To show and measure ads, Google and its advertising partners may use your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information (such as the device model, Android version and app version) and information about how you interact with ads. Ads may be personalised, depending on your choices.

• Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some other regions) the app shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can review or change your choice later under Settings > Ad privacy options when that option appears.
• You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your Android settings (Settings > Google > Ads).

Other services

When you tap "Rate this app", the app opens Google Play or shows Google Play's in-app review sheet, which Google handles under its own privacy policy. "Contact support" and "Privacy policy" open your e-mail app or your browser.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Since we do not collect or keep personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you live in a region with data-protection rights and think we hold information about you, write to support@glowvibe.in. For data held by Google (such as ad-related data), use Google's own tools and controls.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for a significant change, let you know in the app or on the store page.
